Find your people during topic-based meetups at ONA24

What’s a conference for if not meeting people, right? ONA’s annual conference always offers many learning and networking opportunities to catch up with colleagues or get to know inspiring journalism leaders you would not meet otherwise. This year’s schedule has even more ways to build meaningful connections through meetups organized by topics that were suggested by our community.

Here’s a quick look at confirmed meetups so far:

Thursday, Sept. 19

News Product, Educators, Youth Reporting, AI Innovator Collaborative, Newsletter Professionals, Early Career, Audience Engagement Professionals, Freelancers, Consumer Revenue in News, Coverage Planners in Newsrooms, European Attendees, Southern Journalists, Local News Researchers.

Friday, Sept. 20

Journalists of Color, Digital in TV Broadcast Newsrooms, Visual Journalists, Audio Makers, Project Managers, Founders and Entrepreneurs, Students, LGBTQ+ Journalists, Safety Meetup.

Plus, go ahead and mark the ONA24 Welcome Reception on your calendar — happening Wednesday, Sept. 18, 5-6 p.m., immediately following the Opening Keynote and Plenary. We’ll share more details about other special receptions and meal events in the coming weeks.
